A Bit of the Tism

The day I was born, I felt like an alien crash landing, a sudden arrival on a strange, unfamiliar planet. My mother's friends joked that I must be a changeling or touched by something otherworldly. While I secretly wished that were true, The reality was different. In 2017, a psychologist identified strong signs of autism in me, and by 2024, I received my official diagnosis. Autism isn't a disease, nor is it something to fear or mourn. For me, It's a superpower! An extraordinary way of perceiving the world that sets me apart in ways others can't imagine. I am different, not less.
