Sinéad graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with an Honors degree in Speech and Language Therapy. She has extensive clinical experience having worked with adults and pediatric clients over a number of years. She has focused her clinical skills training in the areas of Adult Acquired Disorders of Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing, Videofluoroscopy, Tracheostomy Management, and Cervical Auscultation, and Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP), with a particular interest in Critical Care.<br /> Sinéad initially worked with children with complex needs after completion of her degree and moved from there to Community Care working with both children and adults, before moving onto the Acute setting. She has supported the development of services for paediatric and adult client groups in previous roles and enjoys the multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Sinéad currently specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of feeding and swallowing disorders in the adult population, and provides services to nursing homes and hospitals in the West of Ireland. Throughout her career, Sinéad has always had a strong focus on developing and maintaining her clinical skills through various professional development opportunities.
