Katherina has been working as a behavior therapist for 17 years; an ABA educational specialist for 10 years, a certified behavior analyst for 9 years and as a certified child development specialist for 8 years with a focus on early intervention. Katherina is a Psychology major from the University of Central Florida with a certification as a Child Development Specialist by the Early Steps Program in the state of Florida. She completed the first module and the advanced workshop of the Early Start Denver Model program (ESDM). Most of her work as been based on VB (verbal behavior) by which she increments verbal skills, social behavior, social communication, group instructions and indoor/outdoor leisure skills. <br /> In the last 3 years, Katherina has dedicated herself to traveling to different countries setting up home-based ABA programs and giving presentations at conferences to raise awareness about early signs of autism, early diagnosis and the importance of early intervention. She has participated in various symposiums and pediatric congresses with the purpose of educating communities about the vital role each community member has in helping early diagnosis immediately follow by an intensive early intervention program.Traveling as an international ABA consultant, she instructs, trains and supervises parents, teachers, care givers and shadows teachers on how to better assist those with special needs. The ultimate goal of her career has been to provide a better quality of life to those with special needs and their loved ones, where having choices is a rule rather than the exception.
