Denise graduated from the University of Limerick in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. She is a registered member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. In 2012, Denise began working in an acute hospital in Singapore. During her 2 years here, she worked in the hospital setting, completing rotations in areas such as Neurology/Gerontology, Respiratory/ICU, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal/ Outpatients. During this time, she acquired experience in diagnosing, treating and managing a variety of conditions such as sports injuries, whiplash, repetitive strain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, post-operative rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. It was here that her interest in Pilates and rehabilitation really sparked.<br /> Since her return to Ireland in 2014, Denise has worked within the HSE with both adults and paediatrics presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological injuries. She has also continued to work within a private practice setting and teaching Pilates for beginner and intermediate clients. Denise has also worked as a community physiotherapist with Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, designing and instructing individual and group exercise and hydrotherapy classes, as well as working closely with her local GAA and rugby team.
