CHRISTY LAMONT-SMITH
Growing up I spent many hours at our local pre-primary school where my mother taught, which is where my love for interacting with and helping children first began. I qualified from the University of Cape Town in 2007 and completed my Ayres Sensory Integration training in 2012. I have been based in Johannesburg since 2009, working at private paediatric practices, The Talk Shop - a special needs school for children with speech and language delays, as well as at Brescia House where I am still based during the mornings. <br /> <br /> I believe every child should be given the opportunity and support to reach their full potential, and have found that building sound relationships of trust and open communication with both the child and their parents is key to achieving this. <br /> <br /> I am married with a 2 year old son and am expecting a new addition later this year. During my free time I love to read, meet up with friends and explore the city I live in.
