CHETNA JETHA
I have always had a passion for children, however I was unaware I would be able to merge my passion with my career. After Matriculating in Canada, I moved to South Africa and spent 6 months job shadowing various professionals in order to determine which path I would follow. This is when I stumbled upon the wonderful field of occupational therapy.

I qualified as an occupational therapist from the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2012 and went on to complete my community service year at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. I am committed and enthusiastic about my chosen career. During my years of experience, I have had the pleasure of working with dynamic and motivated multidisciplinary teams with diverse expertise.

Along my journey at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital in Johannesburg and The Browns' School in Durban, I discovered a special interest for early childhood intervention and paediatric neurology. I have been afforded the opportunity to attend numerous workshops and courses by local and international presenters, the most recent of which include the 8 Week Paediatric Course on the Bobath/NDT Concept and Prechtl's Method on the Qualitative Assessment of General Movements. I feel that my career so far has been one of tremendous growth, both in a personal and professional capacity, yet I believe there is still so much for me to learn.

After hours I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, meeting new people and experimenting in the kitchen.
