Multikids Inclusive Academy is an accredited International School, located in Ghana, West Africa.
The school was established in February 2010 and is governed by a Board of Directors. Multikids grew out of a small special school founded by Sigrid Kootstra, called COLEDIC. Mandy Budge and Sigrid Kootstra worked together to co-found Ghana's first and only inclusive school, Multikids Inclusive Academy, educating children in a co-existing learning environment.
Multikids combines specialist creative, academic and vocational teaching and learning based on the UK National Curriculum, for students from 6 months to 21 years.
The environment of inclusion is only possible through the intervention of excellent therapeutic services. Our inclusive school believes passionately that all children have the right to an excellent inclusive curriculum. To this end we have developed a Culture of Inclusion which promotes:
Specialised learning environments for typical learners and typical learners who may have a specific learning challenge like Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Aspergers, Mild Autism.
Specialised learning environments for learners with Special Educational Needs like Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Global Delay.
